What is Foot Drop?
Foot drop is the term commonly used to describe the inability to lift the foot when taking a step due to weakness of muscles. This can happen following a central nervous systems problem such as:
- Stroke,
- Multiple Scelerosis,
- Traumatic Brain Injury,
- Incomplete Spinal Cord Injury,
- Other neurological conditions.
Foot Drop can cause any of the following problems:
